I just did a clean install of CS3, then opened Photoshop CS3 Extended. If I create a new image, or open a recent image, the document window is locked in place at the upper left of the workspace — that is, it can be resized, but it can’t be moved. By trial and error, I found that if I click the "Workspace" button once, that unlocks the window and I can move it to a different location. When working on the image, the doc. window will sometimes lock again. And again, clicking the "Workspace" button frees it.

Is there some way to kill this feature (bug?) so that each document window can be dragged around the workspace? FWIW, the same glitch does not exist with various palettes, which can be dragged around with no problem.

I just spoke to Adobe Tech support about the above problem and they were able to reproduce it, so they’ve reported it to Engineering. Seems mouse-related — I’m left-handed and when I switch mouse buttons for right-handed operation, the problem goes away. This happened once before, in CS1 I think. But then it was OK in CS2, so I figured that was the end of it. I guess not.
