When I insert a CD in the drive or a CF card in the reader a "What do you want Windows to do?" dialog appears on my screen. Before installing CS3 there were a number of options including DownloaderPro, which I used. Now the only two options are View with Explorer and Download with Bridge. I don’t mind that Bridge is another option, but I don’t appreciate that CS3 has hijacked all the other options. How can I add options back to this dialog?

Adobe shouldn’t have done this.

It is being discussed in the Bridge forum; for example:

Erwin,

Now the only two options are View with Explorer and Download with Bridge.

You got "View with Explorer"? I only get "Download with Bridge" and "Take no Action."

The TweakUI Power Toy on the Microsoft site may be of help with Autoplay Handlers.

But TweakUI can change some Windows settings (not these) which then cause problems with Photoshop so be careful!

I agree, John. I have a working installation of CS3, and I’m not about to start tweaking something in Windows which might screw it up. Hopefully, it’s something Adobe can fix with a patch, and hopefully they will do so.

Thank you. That was the answer that I was looking for. I checked TweakUI and it provides full control for editing that dialog. It appears that the CS3 install removed a lot of the check marks that had be checked previously.

Erwin, thanks for the report. Please let us know if you see any new problems with your CS3 install.
