Hi all, i just downloaded Photoshop CS3 and first thing i found out is that adobe changed menu colors.
I setuped my whole windosw settings to dark collor, but i cant chage adobe window color. Reason is that i can not see text in menus. I have dark bacground setup for whole windows with light text. but now if i run photoshop that has light color by him self i cant read anything and i dont want to change my windows XP settings. Is some way how to make photoshop window look dark?

Thanks for replay, it is ery important for me.

Sounds like you need to save your Windows GUI appearance settings, then try changing them until PsCS3 looks the way you want, then give the package a new name and save again.

CS3 applies a skin of its own there. Just another "we’d rather be different than adhere to standards" Adobe thingy. 😉

What you’re asking for is not available in Photoshop CS3. You might be able to do it by switching to a fairly modern XP-based theme and then using a skin switcher like StyleXP or WindowBlinds. I haven’t tested that though.

Thanks for replays.

Thats big adobe minus for me 🙁
In Premiere you can at least adjust lighten/darken scheme.

but this scheme in PSD i really dont like.

Can it be done via some dll edit?

I didn’t understand, why Adobe doing that silly un-changeable UI-Theme?!! Actually, White text on Black background is actually easier on the eyes. A monitor is not like a piece of paper, so when you have a white background, there is a lot of light going into your eyes.
Actually Autodesk’s (formerly Discreet) Flint Flame, combustion etc have all used the darker interface for years, as a lighter interface scheme!!!!

Did someone have a solution?
Thank you in advance for any answer!!

It may be for you, but for most people it is harder to read.

In general it is not recommended for web pages.
