From this:
<http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/thumbnails.php>

To the image below (click thumbnail for larger version): < http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1p42exPyDrt9nddOLn hHS9FsmEEVFr0>

In a nutshell:
* Screen shots of the thumbnail page.
* Opened in PS CS2 and composited them into one wide image. * Flattened, converted Background to "Layer 0". * Expanded the Canvas Size so I had some room to work.
* Add a new layer below Layer 0 and filled with black
* Used a Rounded Rectangle custom shape (then, pathÂ’selection) to mask upper left thumbnail. * Used an expanded version of this technique <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.3bc37af7/9> to copy the mask for positioning over all thumbnail photos.
* Added a thin Outer Glow layer style to make the "frames" around the masked Thumbnails. * Converted this Layer into a Smart Object
* EditÂ’TransformÂ’Warp…selected "Bulge", and basically inverted the bulge into a pinch.
* Duplicated the Smart Object layer, flipped it top-for-bottom. * Moved this duplicate down so the bottom row of thumbnails appeard to be mirrored. * Did another Warp Transform to kind of match the original Layer warp. * Masked the transparency of the reflected layer, and lowered its opacity.

My version was quick, and only partially accurate, but those steps should give a jumping off point to perfect your own version of the technique.
