Hi,

I have PhotoShop 7.0 and I was wondering if it can create .cur or .ani files. I need to make a graphic for a cursor.

Thanks…

Photoshop does not currently export those specialized system formats. You can use specialized software like IconForge, available at <http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_if.html> , to export such files.

toby thain (a semi-regular here) has a free plugin for ps you can use:

he takes donations, but not required for use.

Well, a CUR is almost identical to an ICO (see, e.g. <http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms648007.aspx)>. Don’t know if it’s close enough for the OP’s purposes. Raises the question of whether my plugin should support these related formats though (would be only a small change).

Version 1.8b4 (same link, thanks Dave!) now reads CUR files, if that’s any help…
