I’ve been getting this problem for a while now. I emailed the support centre but didn’t get a response. So I may aswell try my luck here.

I’ve installed photoshop cs3 extended on my computer (windows XP) and I’ve entered the serial. And everything was going according to plan when I was asked to download an e-license. So I clicked okay and I got this message.

And now it seems that every time I open photoshop, I have to try and download this e-license, then I get that error message once it has failed and then it closes the program. I can’t even get access to a program I bought. The only thing I can do is click "quit", which as I said – completely shuts down the program

Michael,

Support for Installation Issues is free. Call Adobe Technical Support.

You will be asked for a CC number, but you will not be charged.

You will be asked for a CC number, but you will not be charged.

That’s ridiculous. If there’s one thing you don’t want to do when it’s not necessary, it’s give away your CC number.

Did you have CS3 beta installed previously on your machine?

That’s ridiculous. If there’s one thing you don’t want to do when it’s not necessary, it’s give away your CC number.

It is also ridiculous for you to think that Adobe will have a technical support person sit on the phone for a half hour with someone who claims to have an installation issue, only to find that it is a technical or training issue. (In which case, the CC would be charged.)

(Of course, if the user does not want to give out the CC, he/she can just continue to live with the problem.)

As much as I’d love to ring technical support. I don’t have all day to sit around waiting for a human. I spent half an hour trying to get through, but then had to go. I just don’t have the time and adobe don’t seem to give a fuck, because every time I email them, they just fail to respond. This is really getting ridiculous.

I have problems with a 30 day evaluation version of Dreamweaver CS3. Dreamweaver works great, but all of my other Adobe CS2 apps want new serial numbers.

The error that seems to be occuring is that CS3 Apps places or replaces Application resources somewhere within directories on Vista or XP. When CS2 apps utilize those resources, they either don’t recognize them, or they do not access them correctly.
