I have not explained well.

what kind of software that will design the box ( toothpaste) after I have designed the logo. these logo can "melt" into the surface of "toothpastebox".

I have collected a few toothpaste. Expand it and I want to learn how to design it.

You mean besides sophisticated vector work, custom trapping, and sophisticated spot-color work?

Are you trying to design a package that will be printed and stamped and folded and glued which will have a product placed inside? Or are you trying to make a 2D image that looks like a box?

Ah…some strange answers.
I wouldn’t go past Illustrator for this task at all, and I wouldn’t touch photoshop for this.

"take a tooth paste box slowly pull the glued parts apart lay it flat on a piece of paper trace around it with a pencil and scan it in?"

WHAT?

Don’t do that either, useless! Measure it out and plug in the dimensions for your sides with the rectangle tool.
Vector helps as well. You can always import your design into photoshop later if you prefer it.

Trust me, just use illustrator.

More info/help mylinux? Mail me.

Packaging, Sample layouts for any size box are made on a programme called Kasmake, the graphics are laid out in Illustrator.
Kasmake works out the exact size’s and then cuts it on a CAD table. Hope this helps. I design graphics for packaging and the box’s too. Brian
