PSE 5.0: Sending images offline after editing

I keep all of my full size images on DVDs and leave proxies on the hard disk, saving space on the latter. When I edit an image in PSE5.0 editor, the file goes online. After I’ve completed the edit, how do I send the original image offline again? Do I have to save all online files to a new DVD?
