Hi All,

I have a .tiff image that I need to edit and was wondering (since I am new at this) if there was a way to edit the image. It is a business card that needs name and phone number changes. Sounds simple enough, but seems like I just can’t do it.
Anyone have any eye deers?

Thanks,

Fwed

Does the tiff have layers?
If not it has been rasterised, you cannot edit the text. It consists of a graphic and some text/numbers, right?
If you can match the font, just erase the original numbers etc., from the layer and add a new text layer with the correct info etc.

Hiya Toobi!!

Its a business card that has a graphic of a tank with a valve at the top…and a logo inside and of course the persons name and phone number ext….etc….
At first I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of the type underneath once I put in a text box, then realized that I could use the fill as a white (in this case) to get the info out of sight. Every time I tried the type box, the old type would remain until I filled the text box with white…It was simple after I figured it out, but it took me almost 3 hours of fooling around with it before I thought of picking up the monitor and throwing it out the window…lol

Thanks for the help!!!

‘lo Fwed,

Where are you looking?
Swatches between Color and Styles or is the whole palette missing? Tried F6?
Image>Mode>Color Table?
What mode are you working in? Indexed?
If so the table will only dislay the colors that are in the image.

the pallet is there, and i have all the colors and styles tab there too in photoshop… but in in designits a bit different….usually there is a way to pull up a pms color when you go to choose a color, and it isn’t doing that. Is it because the item i am working with is not in cmyk mode? (it does bring up rgb color samples with percentages)

Have you clickd on the little right pointing triangle to the right of the color and swatch tabs?
You should be able to choose Pantones and CMYK sliders from there.
