I am using the text tool to write labels to photographs, and I need to insert the greek symbol beta (β), but when I paste the symbol from MS Words, it doest not appear (all other, normal letters appear when I paste.

I am using Photoshop 7.0 on a Windows XP PC.

Using the greek beta in Word is simple, just to click on "insert", then on "symbol", and then on the symbol you want.

This is extremely urgent, so I would be very, very happy if someone knows!

Sincerely,
Jens

What about just selecting the Symbol font in the Text tool, and then hitting the lowercase "b" key?
