Hi – my wife is considering buying the Master Collection. Does anyone know definitely whether buying it now (before some of the programs aren’t released – Premiere Pro etc) means that she will have to wait on delivery for those programs that have been released (PSCS3 etc)?

I phoned Adobe about this a few days ago but got a bit of a confused answer that generally indicated that she needs to buy a package that is already released (Web / Design etc) and then upgrade in July.

Is this right? Anyone with this experience? She wants to start using the released programs now.

Cheers for any help.

Well the Master Collection is fairly new, you can upgrade from various programs and Suites, but the truth be told, for the extra $500 you can have all the programs as a full release version and none of the headaches of installing. That’s the way I’m going despite owning many Adobe Products (no Suite), the discount does not amount to a ‘hill-o-beans’.

If you order the Master Collection, you will have to wait until it ships. You can’t get just part of it now and part later without jumping through the hoops of an upgrade from either Web CS3 or Design CS3.

Thanks for the info. It does seem a bit rough though to pay £2500 and have to wait for the collection to be released when half of the programs are available already! I’ll try and talk her out of it and spend the money on a holiday instead!
