Is there anyway to stop Photoshop from adding the name "copy" and a number to every layer in a Group of layers whenever I duplicate a Layer Group?

I’m pretty sure I remember seeing something about a script that you can run which will delete "copy" in Layer Names.

But only after they have been created.

Excellent, thanks for the reply on this! Not perfect (should be in the Prefs) but better than nothing.

does any body have the script yet to do this for layers in layer sets. that script will delete the "copy" from the folder, but not from the layers inside
