I’m using PS3 Extended v10.0 on a Windows machine. 1.5GB RAM.

Whenever I try to apply Brightness and Contrast or Curves to a layer, I can see the preview, but when I click "OK", the adjustments aren’t being applied. This is only the case with large documents (10×10 ).

On smaller images (1×1 in. @300dpi – 4×4 in. @300dpi) the adjustments work fine. Anything larger than that and the adjustments effects seem to work less and less. At 5×5 inches, it appears that the adjustments aren’t being fully applied. For instance, I’ll set my B&C to -30/+70 and it will look correct on the preview, but when I click "OK" it only applies it a small amount, as if my settings were much lower. This worsens as the files get larger, eventually not applying at all.

I’m sure there is something I’m missing, but this is very annoying. I can get around it using Adjustment Layers as they apply the adjustments correctly, but I’d rather not do that because it’s a lot of extra work just to get the desired result.

Are you viewing the image at 100%?

Can you post a screen capture of the image at 100%?

I usually view the images at anywhere from 25-40% due to their size. If it’s a matter of magnification, I don’t understand why it looks the way I want it in the preview but looks different when I want to finalize the adjustments.
