Hey Folks,

I hope I can get some help here. I am using a Dell 8200 533fsb with 2 gigs of ram with an OS of XP SP2. I have run CS2 for years without any problems. When the beta for CS3 came out I downloaded it and it operated fine. I recently updated to CS3 and prior to installing the new product uninstalled CS3 beta using the uninstall program in Windows per instructions on the Adobe website. After installing the new version of CS3 it worked great…for a while. While working on a RAW file I clicked on a hotspot/link/button (I am not sure what I clicked on as I was experimenting to see what would happen) and I lost the RAW program and Photoshop locked up. I had to use task manager to close the program. I tried to restart Photoshop and it opened fine but would lock up any time I tried to open a RAW file. Tiffs and Jpegs would open fine. I reset the prefs folder by using Ctrl/Alt/ Shift and it did not correct the problem. After searching the FAQ’s and knowledge base I could not find any answers, so I uninstalled Photoshop using the same methods as uninstalling the CS3 beta hoping a fresh install would reset whatever I did originally. After reinstalling the program I still have the same problem only worse; now Photoshop locks up when I load any photo file. I still have CS2 installed and can work on it fine. Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this issue?
