Hi Jim,

This sounds like one of the problems you can get after you uninstall the CS3 beta program. The CS3 beta install replaces a script and then doesn’t restore it when you remove the program. The script is called photoshop-9.jsx.

On my system this file is located here;

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\StartupScripts

Hope this helps.

Hi Jim,

If you haven’t got a backup of the script, I can send you a copy by email. You’ll find my email address on my home page.

Remove the anti spam bit first.

Alternatively you could do a repair installation of CS2. If you do this be sure to save any unsaved actions etc.

Hope this helps.

Brilliant – thanks heaps George. Just had this problem myself, initially went to the knowledge base & found the article linked by ChrissyOn. Tried the first few suggestions, leaving the dreaded uninstall & reinstall Photoshop option which I really didn’t want to do what with having to contact Adobe to get a reinstall licence…dahdeedahdeedahh…
Quick search on this forum found your fix.
Got the script off another computer, problem fixed.
How easy was that!

Thanks again.
