When I start up Photoshop just after it finishes loading or is the middle of loading the Windows error sound starts repeating until I close Photoshop or it will still load but hardly anything works.

What can I do to fix this?

Cheers,
Brock

Brock,

Maybe Ps looks for a printer that isn’t connected anymore.

Did it ever work? What has changed? Can you see something happening in Task Manager? Internet security software?

Did you make some files Read Only? Is the configured Scratch volume still there?

What if you let the error sound go by, do you at last get an error message?

I doubt it’s looking for a printer because the error noise can happen once or twice and then PS closes or can keep repeating and PS stays open. Did PS ever work? Yeah it does after a restart and I did have it working fine without the errors before I installed it again after the format. Nothing has changed really, nothing that would affect PS. In Task Manager there’s no (Not Responding) beside PS because it does respond, it just doesn’t fully work or it closes. Internet security is just AVG Anti Virus + Anti Spyware and Windows Firewall. I didn’t change any of the files (Read-Only/Hidden). Scratch volume? What is that?
Sometimes you get an error message saying that PS couldn’t start and that it’s going to exit or something like that but there’s no error noise when that happens.
