Hi friends,

I am not strong in photoshop. I want to draw an arc in photoshop document. The curve location is as

8 inches width. Deep is 4.5 inches in the center.

I want to draw neck shape of a garment. Above mentioned are my measurements. How can I draw an arc in photoshop with exact limits. Which tool I need to use. Can anybody jus give me the procedure?

Cyb’s suggestion is about the best you’ll do in Photoshop, but this really is more a job for Illustrator.

Here’s one way:

1) Create a new document and turn the rulers on.

2) Drag out guides as shown; you should end up with a centerline and boundary guides that correspond to your desired dimensions.

3) Choose the Ellipse Tool; put your cursor over the "center" guide, press and hold Alt, and then draw an ellipse. It will draw it from the center because you are holding the Alt key. Then just drag it to the boundary guides; it will snap into place and you will have an ellipse with the correct dimension.
