I have all my software using a 50% gray UI, it seems PS3 has its own colour scheme > white. I noticed AI3 has a slider scale in preferences to customise the UI brightness. It seems PS3 does not? I cannot believe PS3 does not have this feature, I find it important to have a neutral scheme, especially for colour editing. Please someone point me in the right direction, I hope it is my mistake.

I have a sneaky feeling Richard is concerned more with the rather bright palette, sorry, panel colours in CS3.

Yes, the panel colours are my concern, I have contacted Adobe support but have not received an answer (as of yet). Hopefully a patch could rectify this, maybe if enough users find this annoying like I do. I am still in a bit of disbelief that after so many versions of PS, the developers have made this design decision. I suspect they might say to me "well, you can always ‘tab’ or press ‘f’ to minimise the UI." That’s not the way I work, I mean, this is PS right? It should work the way I want it to. It always has before.

What’s also strange to me is that the text on the menu bar grows more bold each time I hover over the text with the mouse.

It then reverts back when I click on an empty part of the menu bar, but not always.

This happens on two different computers, both with Ps CS3 as well as Lightroom.

Both have that white (Macromedia developped?) menu bar.

Bridge has the normal grey shade.
