Hello,

I am trying to export a logo-file I made in Photshop CS2 to Illustrator CS3 but the logo comes out ugly (rough edges). I tried to lock the logo; I tried to do it as an EPS file or a Photoshop file but it stays the same. Thing is that I would like to make my logo bigger in Illustrator without the quality going down.

Thank you for your replies and your time,

Siu Rose

Best way would be to make the logo in Illustrator to start with as a vector object. A second option would be to make the image a smart object in Photoshop and import into Illustrator as a smart object. Taking a rasterized image and changing its size will always have some image degredation.

Hi Siu,

There is an option to trace the raster objects into vector in Illustrator. When you open your logo in Illustrator, you will see a button of "Live Trace" on the top. There are pre-defined settings as well as custom settings to suite to your needs.

Hope it helps!
