During a routine review of my external hard drives I noticed two files named:

Photoshop Temp322647 Size 5.79 gb
Photoshop Temp421354 Size 113 mb

These two files reside outside my Backup sets. Normally I would not be interested in them except that they predate a main hard disk failure and could contain useful images. But, I cannot open them. Photoshop does not recognize the files.

How can I open them to see if they contain worthwhile data?

In advance, I thank you.

David

David,

These are Photoshop’s scratch files. they should be deleted upon closing PS. The fact that they’re still there indicates that Ps is terminated abnormally at least twice.

AFAIK they can’t be parsed into anything useful.

Photoshop TEMP files contain no data that is usable to us mere mortals.

Might as well move ’em to the trash.

Sure they can…just delete them and you turn them into storage space. <g>
