color picker question

Hi there,

I was working on a CMYK project. Now I’ve switched back to a RGB project but my color picker only offers CMYK color libraries in the color picker. My color picker is filled with desasturated colors and pastels. I can’t seem to switch it back to the deault RGB colors.

My color mode is set at RGB and my Proof setting is set at a custom config using an RGB setting.

Any ideas?

Can we see a screen shot? I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t know how the Color Picker can only offer desaturated colors and pastels.

Are you clicked on R,G, B instead of the default H?

Michael,

Maybe Web colors is selected? Otherwise, maybe you’re in Color Libraries mode. Select Picker.

If that’s not the case the a screen shot would help indeed.

Michael, when you are in the color picker, check each of the HSB RGB and LAB groups. If you click in the small circle next to the H in HSB you will have one representation of the color picker, click in the small circle next to the R in the RGB group and you will have a different representation. And then the same for LAB. Will doing this, get you back to where you want to be?

Thanks for your advice guys.
Actually Wesley’s solution solved the problem. I pressed the H in HSB and it brought me back to the default RGB colour picker… or out of the color libraries.
