Hi friends,

I have designed a web page layout. How can I save that psd file as web page(.htm/.aspx) and how can I give links to the test I placed on the layout.

Thanks in advance

Use an html layout program — Adobe Dreamweaver ($$$) or nvu (free), for example. Unfortunately, you will have to start from scratch. Photoshop is not a web page layout program. It can be useful for creating mockups of web pages, but it can’t translate a graphical layout into html. There is a program that works with Photoshop called Sitegrinder that may do what you want (not sure whether it’s a plug-in or a standalone program that processes psd files), which you can easily find via google. I haven’t tried it so I can’t tell you whether it will do what you want.

Once you’ve designed your page in PS, use the Knife tool to cut it up into "Slices". You can do this in PS or, if you have CS or CS2, by jumping into Image Ready.

Use "Save for Web" or in IR "Save Optimized" and select the "Images and HTML" option.

You’ll then need to refine the HTML using the likes of Dreamweaver or Front Page. If you know your HTML you can also modify/refine the page in NotePad.

PS is great for the initial design elements but it was never designed to be an HTML editor.
