You could try copying all the files to a temporary folder on your desktop and see if it will install from there.
Otherwise phone Adobe Cust Services. Installation help if free.
Hi
I need to edit a video so I really need this to work along with After Effects, Soundbooth. Can somone suggest anything. I can’t find anything in Knowledgebase, have I missed something out?
Found this in the forum and it worked for me. CS3 is installed, BUT…photoshop crashes all the time…(in my case…)
Try to replace the line in the file "ContainerProxy.js":
"jsonObj = _jsonToObject(window.external.SetSessionInitialized(initValu e)); "
TO:
"jsonObj = _jsonToObject(SetSessionInitialized(initValue));"
ContainerProxy.js can be found(after the setup.exe disappeared) in:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\c14ac4070fd9614ffe63f4bb533db2c\resou rces\common\scripts\ "
(directory "c14ac4070fd9614ffe63f4bb533db2c" can be different).
After the change, run the setup again.
See Topic "CS3 installation fail" with about 318 replys on about the 3rd page. See my post near the end.
Took me 10 tries to find a way to do it.
Detailed there.
Use "Aloalo" (above)change above for line 1102 correction. This can be found there as well.
No problems once installed.

Hi
I did that editing the line of code and then I tried starting the installation again but it goes back to the very first problem I had where the installation would not start after I clicked it in AutoPlay.
Now this solution to that problem Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories. Right-click the Command icon, choose Run As Administrator, and authenticate. Navigate to Windows\System32.
At the prompt, type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter. When a dialog box with the message "DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded" appears, click OK.
now does not work so the installation will not start. What is wrong with these programs and there errors and problems. Can anyone help?
Try to update/install WindowsInstaller from the dvd.
"CDROM:/Adobe CS3/Redist/WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe" -Reboot-
Change the line in "ContainerProxy.js"(if you deleted it).
Then run the setup again.
I get
SETUP ERROR
Not Enough storage is avalible to process this command
When I try to install the new installer.
Reboot your computer, or clean your harddrive, then try again.
Done that, still doesn’t work.
I used Disk Clean-up
No I have plenty of Disk space. None of that helped at all.
Have you tried "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" AND "regsvr32 jscript.dll"???
A little misunderstanding here..
I thought you couldn’t install Photoshop CS3…after expanding the "show all messages", I see you have a second problem…
So you manage to install Photoshop CS3, but now some of your other adobe programs(soundbooth&premire pro) couldn’t be started up?
The best thing is to try to reinstall the programs which you have problems with.
or
dump some logging of the error(s) here..
Hi
What you explained is my problem. CS3 now works 100%. It is A few other programs of Adobe CS 3 that don’t work.
There are no errors to report. Are there any logs that I can find that will tell me what is wrong and what file is crashing it?

I haven’t done a lot of Photoshop work lately Anthony, but of what I have, there have been no problems with PS CS2 under Vista, nor with PS CS3.
I just reinstalled but it does the same thing. WHat am I going to do?
YEs got it working. Just opened it in the DEP and it now works.
