Hi

Does anyone know if you can copy a selection, lets say it is 800x800px and paste it into at new file that is 400x400px and make it fit when you paste?

Thanks

Henrik

With your 800×800 selection, press Ctrl+J to place it on a new layer.

Press Ctrl+T. Right click and select "Scale"

In the options bar enter 50% in the W and H boxes.

Alt+click the eye symbol in the layers Palette to turn off other layers.

With Shift pressed, drag the scaled down selection into the 400×400 file.
