I’m having a problem with rendering it seems.. I’m running a brand new macbook pro, so it’ll kill me if there is anything wrong with it. The issue seems to be with shapes. I’m just drawing a simple simple shape, a triangle. And when I save it, it shows up with theses splotches. Also, if I rasterize the layer, i get weird stuff as well. HELP! I’ve got a bunch of text layers as well.
I’ve deleted the prefs, turned off open gl, and a few other things. Any other ideas? I opened it up in Cs3 and it doesn’t have any problems with it. So this is a CS4 only problem. I’ve searched around a bit and haven’t found much of anything like it. I found one thing on another forum but that was a dead end.

this is what happens when i save it:

Looks as if you may have some extraneous stroked paths or Shapes in that document?

Rob – have you checked your vector layer is properly constructed – I mean that these are closed shapes? is the type vectorised as part of a single layer?. Have you tried the same procedure in CS3? It may be that this vector is corrupt in some way.

Yeah, its not even a custom path. I just picked a preset triangle and colored it the same color as the background, then set a inside stroke. When I drag and drop all the layers into a blank document in cs3, problem goes away. Got any ideas? I can give you the psd file if that would help.

Yes if you post the PSD somewhere (dowsampled will do) – we can see whether its a CS4 problem or something to do with your setup
