Crops only square not rectangular

Please help! Problem is when I try to crop tool only crops in a squaer and not rectangular. Photo Shop 7.0 in a lab setting of 12 computers. 10 work fine but 2 are having this problem. Is there a setting that I am overlooking?

Make sure that there are no fixed width/height settings in the crop tool options for the two machines that are not working properly.

If that is not the issue, try resetting the preferences, as indicated in the FAQ <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?50@@.ef4a07f>.
