selecting with Color range problem…

Photoshop 6.0

Using the Color Range command.

Step 4. Page 144 in User’s Guide. Position the pointer over the image or preview area, and click to sample the colors your want include.

NOTHING WORTHWHILE HAPPENS.

I have tried different layers.

For ‘Select’ I have chosen ‘Sample Colors’.

Suggestions welcome. New user.

chuck – Make sure that your preview (drop down menu at the bottom) is set to anything except "none".
