When saving a bitmap from photoshop regardlss of it’s resolution, when I view the properties of the image (in Bridge or windows picture viewer) the DPI drops by a value of 1 for a given DPI.
Eg: If 600 dpi = 599 dpi
300 dpi = 299 dpi
72 dpi = 71 dpi

Im not worried about printing or viewing for web, just want to know why this occurs, and only when saving a bitmap, a jpeg works fine.
