here’s the thing. it used to work just fine saving (saving as) a created psd file with transparent background to a PNG file and then placing this in InDesign CS3. either through bridge or the place command.
since a few days I get an "invalid PNG file" when importing it in InDesign. the culprit seems to be PS thou. I tried a couple of things (like hiding layers, merging everything before saving as, etc.), it wont work. most of the times that is. sometimes the same file just works after a couple of save as runs. but I dont have time for trial and error.
besides, the "save for web" thingy works with the same files and those can be imported into InDesign every time. I gathered thou, those are converted to 72dpi files, right? that would be usesless for printing InDesign projects.
how to I make PS save as PNG files that are proper again?
