Background: Well I had CS2 and that worked fine, no problems with the text tool or any others…until I upgraded
Problem: Now I have upgraded to CS3 the text tool wont work for me. I drag the text box over the desired area, type the text in and it doesn’t show up, but the layer is still labeled what I entered in the box.
Tried Solutions:
-I have tried to change the colour of the text and change the background colour I am writing on.
-I have tried using multiple texts, stock ones and ones which I have previously downloaded, same problem occurs.
-I have tried making a new document and doing the above in that.
-I have tried to use CS2 again but now the problem happens there too.
-I have tried reinstalling CS3 and i have now uninstalled CS2 altogether.
Two unusual occurences:
-I opened a previous photoshop document from CS2 and the text tool worked perfectly in that document but when I went back to a new CS3 document it didn’t work again. (Note – this was an old CS2 document that this worked in, not on the CS2 program)
-Also now when i try to uninstall CS3 it wont let me, I guess this means it was not installed correctly which may be a contributer to the problem, but other tools work fine, to my knowledge.
I have tried to be as precise as possible but it sort of turned into a rant 🙂 but I hope someone can simply solve my problem as I have been trying to figure it for a few days. Please and Thank you to all who help
