Hey guys.
My friend is a photographer and works for a company that takes childrens sports photos. He recently messed up on a good portion of an entire groups photos by allowing sun flare to get into the photos. Now, the little league organization is upset at his boss who in turn is VERY upset with my friend.
He asked me if I knew how to remove this problem from the photos using photoshop but unfortunately I do not. I’m a web developer so I deal more with creating graphics, not editting photos so I was hoping someone here could help me out.
I’ve posted a sample of what some of the problem photos look like at <http://www.yottasolutions.com/keel.jpg>.

Does anyone know how to fix this or know of a tutorial on how to fix this? My friend is in very hot water right now and he needs my help to bail him out of this mess.
Thanks in advance.

<nodding> The clone tool, or the patch tool would make quick work of the hats.

easy peasy lemon squeezy. He should be able to please his boss, AND the parents.

Ryan,

Since the flare in your examples appears over non-critical, simple elements (bats, hats, dark trees…), cloning should be fairly straight-forward. If your friend is unfortunate enough to have the strong flare over faces — well, that’s a far different story. If the facial restoration is not perfect, trust that the parents will instantly notice.
