I just started a contract gig at a company that is using Photoshop for wireframing and page layout. I need to format some text columns and want to customize the default tab stops. Can this be done in PS? I can’t find anything in the documentation.

Thanks

Nope. It can only be done by painstaking manual space-tweaking.

Photoshop is one of the last apps I’d use for page layout.

Creating the graphic elements? Yes.

Getting text to look formatted properly? Absolutely not.

Better you should make the graphics in Photoshop, import them to InDesign for adding formatted placeholder text, then export as a PDF to use as a layout template for whatever web coding app they’re using.
