***CS3 Runs Incrediblely Slow***

I have the Premium Suite of CS3 and every other program works perfectly except for Photoshop Extended. It is really slow and takes about 5 seconds to even open the New Project window. I’ve tried messing with the RAM usage and all of that but nothing worked. I’m running a 3.4GHz processor with 2GB RAM. Any ideas?

Do you have a networked printer as your default? Have you got files from a network in your recent files list?

No I don’t have anything to do with networking within Photoshop. I can’t figure out why it is so laggy.

We need way more info about your setup. Processor, XP sp2? anti-virus? many fonts? what is peculiar about your setup? Photoshop memory allocation? size of files, etc.
