I just found this in my mail— I’m actually going to be attending the paid sessions, but if you’re
going to be in or near Miami next week, on Wednesday they’re evidently opening
up the exhibit hall to other folks. Since Adobe is expected to unveil the new Photoshop 8
early next week, this would probably be a great chance to see it up close and personal.

And, if it’s anything like last year, the Wacom demos and New Riders booths will be well
worth a visit, as will many of the others.

For those of you geographically challenged, see below….they’re doing webcasts.

I don’t get anything out of this…. just an FYI

PSW only happens twice a year— once in the fall on the East coast, and once in the spring on the West coast. Subsets of the same sorts of things– the Adobe guru tours– make it to other cities

you might check out
http://www.adobe.com/events/main.jsp
to see if one near you is scheduled soon.

And it looks like they’re doing webcasts from PSW

HTH–JPK

PS—No matter how you feel about NAPP itself, PSW is an extraordinary opportunity to learn things from the best
of the best. I basically joined NAPP because I was going to PSW anyway, and the member discount and
the membership fees cancelled each other out. I was so
blown away by PSW, I now consider everything else
secondary. The Dream Team instructor roster really is
a Who’s Who in Photoshop. And the incredible thing is
that some of the most talented and creative folks are
also some of the nicest and most accessible.

Yes, every organization has its posers, egos and jerks, but to write off the real pros because of the losers only hurts you, not them. OK, I’m an "old broad" but experience has taught me that most of the time egomaniacs are so
wrapped up in themselves that you can’t hurt them
with a sledge hammer and a blowtorch, and trying
is futile. Mostly, I just steer clear of them, and spend my energies more productively with people who are
more interested in the work than the applause.
