First, this is my firt expereince with Adobe Forums, and unless I’m missing something, the organization is HORRIBLE.
It looks like all threads, CS2, CS3 all version of windows, etc are all lumped together with all other forums and threads, that is, threads and forums are just simply listed in one long list?
I’m sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, but I can’t even find a specific "forum" just lots of threads in the photoshop forum.

Here’s the problem:
Installed CS3 in Win XP SP2 and everything works great.
Did the same thing in Vista 64 Ultimate, and Photoshop will not execute. Adobe Bridge and Acrobat will execute, although Acrobat 8 WIL NOT print, which means you cannot create PDF files. Dreamwever opens and seems stable.
In summary, CS3 works with my XP SP2 OS, but not with Vista 64. PSCS3 will not execute and gets shut down by Vista, even though DEP is off. I shut it off using:
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
and also
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff
DEP is greyed out in the panel under "performance."
So has anyone else encountered this problem? I’ve spent the better part of a week trying to get Vista working with my system plus Adobe products working correctly in Vista, not to mention XP32. I’m about ready to $hit can Vista and CS3 and go back to XP SP2 and CS2. Seems like Vista and CS3 are not quite ready for retail.
