Im used to using photoshop shortcut keys (V for selection tool, T type tool etc.)

I often use PS in full screen mode without my tools palette visible. How the hell do i write something? with other tools you just click their shortcut but for instance when you want to type "123" and then use the selection tool to position it, i cant exit full screen without pressing
ESC. This will erase everything that i have typed.
And if i press V (selection tool), i get "123V".

What can i do???

thnx
Ziggy

Man, I hope we get an answer for this one.. I run into the same problem all the time, and I have not been able to figure out how to use a keyboard shortcut to exit text-editing mode. Ending up with "123v" is extremely annoying, as is having to go to the mouse just to switch tools. Not a major issue, but a keyboard shortcut to exit text- edit mode and switch to the selection tool (or any other tool, for that matter) would be nice.

I’m hoping there’s an easy solution and somebody is nice enough to post it. 😀

How do you expect the text box to know when you are done typing. Perhaps at some point you will want to actually type a V in a text box. You can hit Enter on the numeric keypad to get out of the text box mode, so you can select tools based on the letters.

Or ctrl-Enter. And try just Ctrl for Move Tool (it is not called Selection Tool).
