I’ve never complained about it but those pesky little files created by ACR for future conversions are really annoying. Why not have another folder to store those instead of splashing them onto the same folder as the actual RAWs?

You can change the preferences so that the images edits are stored in a central database, rather than sidecar files.

I’m assuming that’s what you’re asking about? Sorry if it isn’t – I don’t have v4.x ACR.

Open Bridge, go to Edit/Camera raw preferences or press CTRL + K, ( you can also use CTRL + K when the ACR window is open), and then change how CS3 saves the image data from sidecar files to the central camera raw database.
