I’ve run out of Photoshop ideas! I know this is kind of stupid because you can always go buy a tutorial book or search Google for these kinds of things but I’ve already done that for near a week now and I’m bored with what I’m seeing. Anyone have any ideas for creations in Photoshop CS2? I figured who better to ask than other Photoshop users?

A whole week?

Here’s my advice, as arrogant as it might sound:

Get you money back for Photoshop. I’ve been using it for over ten years and I learn something new just about every time I fire it up.

Running out of "Photoshop ideas?" Fort Knox will run out gold, first.

thanks rob, I’m sure I can think of something if I really book down and go through, magazines, (digital camera/scanner) movies, etc. I just don’t have the time, or the energy, just too much to do at home. I do have a website with some of my creations. You can visit it if you like. it’s at <http://www.freewebs.com/paycersphotoshop>
Any ways I’ve only had Photoshop for about 2 1/2 weeks now so I’ve done pretty good with the amount that I have made, I’m just kinda burnt out on ideas, that’s all. Any more ideas would be great, thanks.

Give up PhotoShop and spend the time learning Dreamweaver. Your images don’t show up due to a Plug-in error and the photos page crashed my browser.

Photoshop is only a tool to create your visions. It’s abilities are limited only by the tool sat in front of the computer. Look around you, use your imagination, become a better tool!

Maybe you just need a vacation from it. Trying to force ideas may not be the best way to go about things.

Photoshop is not a trinket. It is a complex professional image editing program. I would recommend taking a class at a community center, high school, computer training center or local public college. With an instructor to guide you, you will best learn what you do not yet know what you need to learn.

A creative vision drives the artist to choose the right tools. Michaelangelo did not choose a chisel for the Sistine Chapel. No matter what Adobe tries to say in its marketing, the tools do not drive creativity. A teacher or mentor should be your creative spark.

G’day Dan

Try visiting www.worth1000.com they set competitions and it would be worth your while to have a go at some. They have all sorts of fantasy picture challenges for you to have a go at and there are some crazy pictures galleries for you to look at.

I’ve run out of Photoshop ideas!

That is one amusing phrase! Photoshop is so incredibly deep and it’s possibilities literally endless that I often find myself going down paths (pun unintended) that I did not originally intend but do so for the simple joy of discovery.
