Hello

At this time i used CS2
I´m waiting for my new Version of Cs3 by mail-order. Up to then i´ve installed the trial to try out the 3d-Functions but the Import of 3ds-files fails. After clicking on the 3ds-file at the Openmenue i get an sreenshot of my desktop in my working-area? I´m perplex at this result. Is this because its a trial? I can´t believe this.

Thanks

It is the extended version right?
Does this 3DS file open in your 3D program?

Yes it is the right extended Version. Ißve dowload it today at the Adobe Website.

This file i can open in the 3ds Max right. Its a very simple geometry that i´ve build for testing. Other 3ds-files i can´t also open …

I just install the trial at my second workstation and look wheather this constellation do this right.

Any other Ideas?

I am also have the same problem – when I open a 3DS or OBJ file I get a screen shot of my desktop with no 3d model.

I have the Master Suite Edition

Please advise.

The problem has went away. Here is the fix.

When I first imported a 3DS model into PS I got a window asking me the window size and for the first week I accepted the default size and got a screen shot of my desktop.

How the fix came about is that I changes the default size to 600×600 and then everything worked out great.

Seems like a way to easy fix but ever since I tried that every model now imports fine.

Tried that (600×600) and it dosen’t work for me. Besides if you are doing detailed textures for 3-D 600×600 is not going to give you very detailed results.
