Bad save psd

I save my file in psd format and turn off Photoshop. After electric trouble my computer turn off. Then I turn on my comp and open this psd file. But ps say that the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop. But I can see the preview of this file in open menu and Bridge. Help me plz.
PS: Photoshop CS2, os – XP.

Try opening it in ImageReady or in the free trial version of Infranview If you can get it to open in any other app such as these "Save As" with a new filename – or as a TIFF. This way you might be able to rescue your image.

I don’t think IrfanView supports layers. You might try PhotoLine 32 which is a free trial and does just about everything Photoshop will do.

I look at this file in HEX editor. 3/5 of file is zero code…

You can try my recovery plugin, <http://telegraphics.com.au/sw/#psdrecover> it may salvage the non-zeroed layers, if the header (start of file) is still intact.

pls help, i have upgraded friends pc from win98 to win-xp. i would like to know how to find then move pantone colors in photoshop 6.0 from old drive to new drive that runs xp

You might be able to run PS6 in XP, I’m not sure. If you right-click the icon, does it come up with an option to run in something like "compatibility mode"?
