I’d like to use InDesign to create some specific text, and use those to create small (150*15 or so) images, ideally gif files. What’s the best way to do this? I tried exporting to a pdf, and then saving as an image from there, but the anti-aliasing doesn’t seem to work very well, or my image is just too blurry.
If this isn’t the right forum for this post, please let me know and I’ll move it somewhere else.

Thanks for your time

Why not simply use the Text tool in Photoshop and save the resulting file out as a GIF using Save For Web?

You can always do a screen capture of the ID text at 100% enlargement, and then crop to fit the bits you want.
