Please help. I use a logitec trackball and Windows XP Professional. When ever Photoshop CS3 is the active program my mouse slows down considerably to the point where I am still using Photoshop CS2. I make another window active and my mouse speeds up again to its normal rate. I have read in the forums that Deleting the Bonjour Service will do the trick. Have done so and no luck.

Darrell,

Having the same problem over here, exactly the same situation except I have a Logitec keyboard and wireless mouse. The cursor reacts more slowly to mouse movement and it takes a Lot more movement of the mouse to get the same amount of movement as normal, even after disabeling the Bonjor service. I havn’t even really checked out the new program because the cursor problem is simply too extreme. I am hoping that Adobe comes up with a fix. btw the cursor doesn’t slow down if the PS3 window is NOT active, even when the cursor is actually Over the PS3 window, It must be active to affect the cursor speed.

Anyone else having this problem? Shout out guys!

Hey Adobe Guys, are you listening?

Yep, Iv’e found the same thing. Good news is no trouble in Indesign CS3 or Photoshop CS2. I am looking forward to some help as I am unable to give the New Photoshop a go either. I run a dual screen machine and have found that while Photoshop is the active window my mouse slows down. If an explorer windo is active then the mouse moves normally even over Photoshop. But as soon as its active put your lead boots back on!

Ooops, Sorry Adobe. 🙁 There were a few messages re similar problems to this on the Logitec website. Downloaded the latest setpoint driver and this has fixed the problem

Darrell,

Ok, Got a workaround. Just uninstall your Logitech mouse drivers. The mouse will work just fine with the microsoft default drivers and the problem will be gone.

Good Luck!

Agh. This worked for like 2 days, then I reboot today and bam the problem is back. Just to make sure I removed everything Logitechy from my system, uninstalled my mouse and let it reinstall the default drivers (again) and no dice.

Dammit, it was so nice having this fixed and now it just suddenly breaks again? What gives?

It’s been working fine for me after many many reboots. I’m using a cheap Logitech cordless laser mouse. I’m using software mw9791enu.exe for my mouseware. Some setting must have changed on your system to screw it up. I have the cheap wireless Logitech keyboard too but I never loaded the Logitech software for it. I defaulted to Windows for the keyboard. Uninstall the mouseware, reboot, run Registry Mechanic, reboot and reinstall the mouseware and uncheck the box. Only thing I can think of. If it worked once it should work again; it’s not human.
