Magnetic Lasso While Zoomed In: Screen Goes White

CS8 XP Pro

Whitening teeth so I zoom way in and try to corral teeth with magnetic lasso. I reach a certain point which varied each time, and the whole screen turned white and just the lasso shows starting at the point it was at when the screen turned white.

I hit escape to get out of it and start over but it keeps happening at various points before I can close the loop.

Help appreciated much.

Not sure what your problem may be, but you may want to explore layer masks and skip the critical lasso jobs. all the time spent trying to get every little spot with the lasso could be saved by either make a broad lasso selection or no selection and just painting in your changes on a layer mask using a soft edged brush.

I’ll check that out. I did finally get a magnetic lasso to work after about 8 tries. Cheers.

Are you sure it’s not just zooming in to fill the screen with white?
