Hello, I’ve searched the forums for font problems with PS 6, and I haven’t managed to find my problem addressed anywhere.

Recently, in the past 3 months, all text typed displays as itallics. I’m pretty certain this is not a font problem because I’ve installed a trial version of Adobe CS and am able to display fonts in non-itallics. I am also ruling out the possibility that something installed with the CS version is overriding font management in my earlier version, since the problem occurred before installing CS.

Has anyone run into this problem before? I’m running Windows XP on my system.

Open the character palette and turn off faux italics.

Thank you! That worked. Now I’ll be wracking my brain trying to figure out when I could have set it like that. 🙂

No need to rack your brain.

It was just a boo-boo click, like anyone might make!

Sometimes if you open a file with some non-default character settings it seems to do that. 🙁
