Anyone else having troouble with 3d objects? When I import one (3ds or obj) it only displays part of it and the textures are wrong. I’ve updated my vid drivers (nvidia 6600), cause it looks like rendering errors. anyone else have problems?

PS, Why not Lightwave adobe!?!?

I’m having the exact same issue, and would love to know what the problem is… I’m calling support tomorrow a.m., and will post any info I may receive.

I’m currently using a GeForce 8600GTS PCI-e video card in my box. (Other relevant specs: 2.4Ghz AMD64 cpu, 3GB DDR400 RAM)

The 3D support in Photoshop is very basic and has trouble with even basic low-poly objects. This is just a gimmick and not a very well implemented one imo.
Anyone who works in 3D would do better to invest in Zbrush.

Anyone who works in 3D would have already invested in Zbrush. I’m wondering who/what Adobe is trying to market to.

If you’ve got an Nvidia card, this might help: I solved similar problems with opening 3d files by selecting an option in the Nvidia control panel which allows 3d settings to be controlled by the application instead of user-controlled.

Good luck
