Now after days of not responding, if I let CS3 sit there after a bout 10 mins it says activate. When I select no to use trial it says license expired and dies. How can I clean all and do a new trial clean install?

Anything (a program or manual intervention) that attempts to adjust the system clock will result in the 30 day trial ending abruptly, with no way of starting again on that particular hard disk.

Well, a complete format and clean install of Windows would do it, but that’s pretty drastic considering Adobe has a 30 day money back policy.

I’m confused Bob. How does a 30 day money back policy relate to an expired trial?

It doesn’t. My point was, why go to the trouble of reformatting and reinstalling Windows just to run a trial?

If you buy it and don’t like it, you’ll get your money back.

I see. Of course, you have to realize that some people (including me) are notorious for losing something, or forgetting the deadline day, and then winding up unable to get the refund.

I bet I could pay for my upcoming CS3 purchase with the money I have failed to collect over the years in rebates. (It has reached the point where I refuse to buy something with a rebate.)

Adobe have a program to clean the HDD of all files related to the installation of CS3 (the beta version at least) you may want to try using that first. WinBootstrapper which is an installer package. I think download is available on the Adobe site. Mine came with the CS3 CD.

Dave: Thanks and Thanks again. That is the link to the Adobe cleaner script I was asking about. All now is hunky-dory.

Adobe seem to be keeping this cleaning script thing quiet. maybe it can be used to reset a trial or somethings. great work.
