Document won’t close in CS3

I have 4 documents opened in CS3. When I tried to close the other 3 documents by clicking the X symbol on the top right corner of the doument it just won’t close the document.

What exactly happens? Some kind of error message, or just no action? If the latter, what happens if you do a control-alt-delete and look to see if PS is "not responding"?

nothing is happening even if i tried clicking it several times. the application is working fine only the closing of the document is the problem.

noticed that when the document is set to maximize option, the close button is working, but if the document is set not set to maximize close button is not working.

Try resetting your Preferences file as detailed in the FAQs. A corrupt Prefs can cause all sorts of strange behaviour.

I’m having the same problem and the Photoshop is the brand new CS3. This is my first time using it and the pictures won’t close (with the X), maximize or minimize. The only way to close them is by going to File – Close.
