Red Tint to all photos I’ve taken

Hi,

I just built a new computer and reloaded Photoshop CS2. I took some pictures boating to day and viewed them in windows picture viewer and the colors are spot on. However when I open any of the photos in photoshop for editing the reds are way to strong. I changed my RGB to adobe (1998) but the colors are still wrong. I know you can adjust colors individually but I think there’s got to be a way to open the picture and have the colors match what windows (or my camera for that matter) shows. Any suggestions?

Photoshop is your only colour-managed Application. You need to tell the monitor about it. Run Adobe Gamma (in the Control Panel) to recalibrate.

The check your colour settings.

I have the exact same problem. Pictures look good in all other applications but have red tinge in photoshop cs3. I do not see adobe gamma in control panel? Using windows xp home. Help please.

fixed it, went to control panel, display, advanced, color management, add, then form the list selected adobe1998. You can pick the one you prefer. This removed the red tint.
