I’m running Photoshop CS3 in Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) on a GeForce 8800 Ultra using the 158.24 drivers from nVidia. I have just under three gigabytes of RAM (that the OS actually detects).

When I change screen mode to full screen (by pressing the F key three times after launching Photoshop, for example) I can still see the edge of the Photoshop Window on the right edge of the screen. I just want my PSD file to fill the screen entirely. I don’t want to see the edge of the Photoshop window so that I can slide it back to reveal the desktop. Incidentally this problem does not always occur, and may depend on what other software I’ve been running. Sometimes I can solve it by rebooting the computer and relaunching Photoshop, but I want to eliminate the problem entirely. Also, maximizing Photoshop doesn’t solve the problem. I wonder if Vista simply doesn’t like to have Photoshop take over the whole screen, as it seems like it is trying to keep the desktop accessible at all times by keeping Photoshop in some kind of windowed mode, even when it is maximized, and regardless of my wishes as a user.

I hope someone else who is running CS3 has encountered this problem before and knows how to solve it. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.
