I have placed my name on a photo using text and I applied some blending options (drop shadow)is there anyway to save just the text and blending options so I could just drop them on a photo without having to retype and do the blending options.I thought there was a way to make these a style??

See the Layers Palette flyout menu. Duplicate Layer to a New Document. That’s one way.

You could also make an action of the creation of the type layer.
